Right off of the Tolomato River, Beaches is truly an award winning restaurant right in our hometown where you can relax and enjoy a ‘no worries’ Caribbean island atmosphere. Beaches is known for having great food, signature drinks, the friendliest staff, and the best sunsets in St. Augustine. The only place where you can enjoy the BEST Happy Hour prices Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm and listen to live music Thursday through Sunday. In 2007, the vision became a reality as Beaches at Vilano opened its doors to the public. From its inception, the establishment thrived on values of authenticity, exceptional service, and a deep respect for the natural surroundings. Nestled along the Tolomato River, our river front restaurant features outdoor and indoor dining with enough space to accommodate large groups, live music, and boat dock and jet ski parking. This is a great little spot to grab some food, adult bevs and sit on the water. We went here one evening after work to grab a few beers and something to eat. I can completely recommend their chicken strips which were surprisingly juicy, not dry as most places serve. They have great happy hour options as well if you are looking to save a little money. The service was a little hit and miss outside when we first arrived. It seemed as if there were some confusion of who was the hostess. We still had no issues getting refills on our drafts or anything else we needed. There is also live music which is nice if you are looking for that during the week. We were there on a Thursday around 1730 and it was busy but we still had no problem getting a table and our food arriving quickly. I will definitely be adding this spot to my rotations. Just not sure why it took me so long to visit. PS~ Sorry no photos as I usually provide. There were plenty previous reviews available for me to view before deciding to visit so I did not feel the need. ☺️ Trust me, it is worth the visit if you are looking for a casual vibe.

Jason has been with Beaches just over a year. He hails from Brooklyn, NY. His love of cooking started at age seven. While camping with his cousin who is a Chef, he left him in charge of preparing breakfast. At that moment he knew cooking was his calling. He graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and worked under Wolfgang Puck in three restaurants. He then traveled all over the country with him opening several others. His favorite ingredient to use in dishes is garlic. He enjoys Italian and Mexican cuisines, however he has embraced creating Caribbean dishes here at Beaches. In his off time he stays busy with his four kids. We are honored to have Chef Jason as part of the Beaches Team.
